Solar Project Developer

UK, Remote working (occasional travel to the office in Gloucestershire)

Our client is one of the most seasoned firms in the UK that specialises in the development of large-scale solar projects. They have an impressive and ever-expanding pipeline of projects, and as a result, they are looking to expand their passionate team of 9 project developers to facilitate future growth and success of their business.

This role is perfect for a project development who wants to get out there, sign up land and see projects move quickly into construction.

​

Reporting to the head of Development your key responsibilities as a Project developer will include:

​

  • Identifying landowners with land suitable for solar development

  • Approach landowners outlining possible terms for a lease, and secure exclusivity/agreed Heads of Terms, whilst negotiating option and lease documents

  • To ensure projects have been defined, have detailed project plans in place 

  • To plan, organise and direct all activities required for the successful delivery of the development. 

  • Prepare regular status reports on each of the projects

  • Work with planning and consultation teams to progress projects through planning and manage relationships with landowners through planning consent, and into the construction phase

 

Project developer requirements

  • Proven experience in developing large-scale projects from greenfield to shovel ready

  • Record in delivering large solar suitability to develop and maintain relationships with landowners

  • Drive and attributes to hit the ground running.

  • To have the ability to liaise with external stakeholders and build relationships 

  • Experience of the renewable energy development process

  • Clean driving license

  • The requirement to travel to visit sites across the UK and to attend events

On-Shore Wind: Project Manager  

Glasgow, Scotland 

Reporting to the Head of Planning based in the Glasgow office, the right individual will be responsible for project management of the development and planning process. An understanding of bringing projects from concept through the planning and project programming process is important.

 

The role responsibilities will include, but are not limited to;

 

  • Project management of the wind farm design, development and planning process (including appeals)

  • Knowledge of the wind farm industry, ideally working as a wind farm developer

  • Negotiation of landowner and third party agreements

  • Knowledge of grid connection alternatives

  • Engaging and managing outsourced resources including EIA consultancies

  • Maintaining all key relationships with third party stakeholders and organisations

  • To a lesser extent working with some project financing and development budgeting

 

This is a broad project management role, and the right individual will come from a background in which they have performed a pivotal role in managing difficult externally facing relationships in contentious public domain projects and public engagements.

 

Travel to Germany will be required infrequently, but no German language skills are needed. Some travel in the UK will also be required. Our client offers a competitive package including car allowance, personal private health insurance scheme and an attractive bonus scheme.

PROJECT MANAGER

Yorkshire

Our client is a well-known regional civil engineering contractor.  This privately owned company has been operating for 50 years and carries out a wide range of civil engineering projects.  Due to an increasing workload, they are recruiting staff to work on their AMP7 water related projects throughout Yorkshire.

 

Current vacancies include Project Manager.

 

The successful candidate will manage multi-discipline water projects (valued up to £10M), ensuring that the scope of works are delivered in a safe manner, on time, to the required quality standards, meeting the acceptance criteria and achieving the expected financial outcomes.

 

Our client is interested in hearing from candidates who are ideally Degree/HND qualified and have a minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role, delivering projects across the water industry.

SENIOR SITE ENGINEER

Yorkshire

Our client is a well-known regional civil engineering contractor.  This privately owned company has been operating for 50 years and carries out a wide range of civil engineering projects.  Due to an increasing workload, they are recruiting staff to work on their AMP7 water related projects throughout Yorkshire.

 

Current vacancies include Senior Site Engineer.

 

Reporting to the Site Agent or Project Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day quality assurance, including surveying, setting out duties, quality checks and approvals. You’ll also be managing junior engineers and assisting the site management teams with all aspects of health, safety, quality and environmental management.

 

Our client is interested in hearing from candidates who are ideally Degree/HND qualified and have at least five years’ experience
